AR MAGLOCK – AR-15 & AR-10 Fixed Magazine Lock and Release Solution.

This is the same kit many of our large OEM’s such as Daniel Defense, Armalite, Black Rain Ordinance and others purchase to make their rifles compliant for shipping into California.
If you would like a higher performance kit that allows faster magazine changes, please upgrade your Gen 1 kit with a Hyperswitch and BRS, or consider purchasing our Gen 2, Gen 3 or Gen 4 kits with KingPin (for Gen 2 and Gen 4) or our Hyperswitch (for use with the Gen 1 and Gen 3 locking kits).

All AR MAGLOCK locking kits are patented under USPTO patent number: 8,756,845.

Note: The Gen 1 locking kit does not work with the KingPin or Dual Function Pin.

    Quick question: in order for this to be CA legal, do I have to glue the threads of the screw and drill out the hex bolt to make it permanent? Or can I simply screw it in and be done with it? Thanks =)

      You can use a 30 round mag body, but in California it still has to be pinned or blocked at a 10 round maximum. That is the law no matter what solution you go with… Do your homework before following someones advice that says you can you a full 30 round mag in CA, that is incorrect!

      Does not hinder the dust cover in any way. Other products do, but ours doesn’t.

      No, the kit is not permanently installed, as other products are. Our can be removed and the rifle back to OEM configuration in 5 minutes.

    after installing this mag lock, will i be able to keep my pistol grip and collapsible stock in California? or do i still have to change them out ?

      Absolutely you can keep your pistol grip and collapsible stock with the AR MAGLOCK installed. When using our solution your rifle is no longer classified as an assault weapon.

      You will need one if you are ever going to pair that lower with an upper.
