More easily manage the disassembly of the action when replacing magazines.
The AR TETHER holds your receivers together while you replace mags.
The 3″ tether is for mounting on rail position T1-T4. The short tether is for someone without rear sights or wants less play in the opening.
The 5″ tether is for mounting on rail position T4-T10. The longer tether will give you more flexibility to work around scopes and sights but has more play in the opening.
